A highly skilled employee would produce an extraordinary outcome and would facilitate in achievement of organization’s goal. It is usual that high skilled people network with people who are equally capable like them. Hence, one of the most effective way of recruiting extremely competent employee would be by launching a referral programmes at workplace. Encourage your existing employees to refer their friend or connection about the vacant open position in your organization. Employees become more responsible if you involve them in recruitment activities. Offer incentives, if the referral by your employee results in hiring. This is a great way to retain existing talent and add new talent.

2. Make an appropriate use of social media

In this era, where we are connected virtually more than ever, use social media to ease your recruitment process. With the presence of professional networking sites, you could easily look out for candidates with an apt skill sets. Improvise your networking skills and connect with your probable competent employee in an easy manner.

3. Skill analysis test

For the jobs that would require a test of skill appropriation, it is better to conduct analysis test before making a hiring decision. Devise a competitive skill analysis test and you would find an employee that would be perfect fit for your organization.

4. Interactive job descriptions

The crucial importance of job description while attracting new talents couldn’t be emphasized enough. Adapt a story telling approach to briefly explain the job role. Highly skilled candidates would be interested to join any organization only when they could visualize their growth over there. And while the job description should clearly state the expectations and role of candidate, it should also convey the available growth opportunities in that particular role. Add all the vital elements that a job seeker search for in a job posting. You should also add the links to employee reviews, cultural values and any other information that would enable the job seeker to take adequate action.

5. Candidates interviewed in past

It is perhaps the most effective ways of hiring top candidates. Maintain your records of recruitment and whenever the need arises you should begin the search by considering past candidates. There must be circumstances that would have stopped them from joining your organization in past. Besides, there must be an addition of skills or experience in such candidates, which make them more appropriate for your open job position. Either way, it is better to consider these past candidates instead of indulging in an excruciating process of recruitment from scratch.

There is no investment as solid as an investment in high skilled candidate. And while the hiring process in itself is excruciating, retaining such extraordinary employee would require constant efforts on parts of employer.
