With its innovative design, reliable hardware, and flexible coding, 22MILES completed one more order for U.S. Navy.
Since the CES exhibition in January 2009, 22MILES has kept ahead of other rivals in Multi-Touch Solutions for Business, with its fastidious multitouch hardware selection, innovative user interface design, flexible coding, and confident implementations for each customer. Concentrating on reliable Multi-Touch solutions for Business, in 2009, 22MILES attracted and served a good number of Fortune 500 and Fortune 1000 customers in tourism, financial services, medical care, digital signage, security software, and retail industry.
After careful comparison and evaluation on 22MILES’ Multi-Touch technology across various platform and coding excellence, US Navy decided to contract 22MILES to explore how multi-touch and other latest technologies can be integrated into military services, and then equip their operations with such innovative and software to generate a more productive result.
Different from regular business software requirements, how to keep the system at a very high reliability level and how to define most convenient and natural multitouch gestures for commanders were two of the most difficult challenges throughout the implementation. Thanks to the elaborate architecture design, strict and inventive user experience experiments, and overtime work among development teams, even the project managers at naval base felt surprised and very content with the hard from 22MILES, when they reviewed the beta version of the first project. Right before the delivery of the whole system, 22MILES was awarded a second purchase order.
In the second project, the multi-touch implementation was planned to work in the latest Windows 7 for future compatibility, instead of Windows Vista in the previous project. More compelling effects and improved gesture definitions were also added to comply with the new requirements. As a part of the solution for US Navy, 22MILES provided on-site installation, training, and comprehensive demonstration at the end of the project. The 1yr warranty also guaranteed the smooth operations among the non-technical officers in the naval base.
